Ironbound Protodrakes

Okay guys. Here's the skinny.

Luthane and I are starting up a 25 man Ulduar raid. This raid is going to be hard core. Mains only. This raid will be Monday 8-10pm server time.

1. This raid is forming to do the achievements in 25 man Ulduar that lead to getting Ironbound Protodrakes.
2. We will kill bosses ONLY with the intention of completing the necessary achievements.
3. The raid Lock out will be extended every week until we complete all the bosses.
4. Yes this means we may wipe on bosses for a while until we get the achievement. Be prepared and please don't drama over it. Everyone is entitled to make mistakes and learn from them.
5. This is NOT a gearing run.
6. If you are SERIOUS about getting the achievements and having an Ironbound Protodrake then send Tizaria an in game mail.
7. Serious means you KNOW the fights, normal and hard mode. You have watched the instructional videos. You are geared in at least 232 ilvl gear (some items exempted due to shear win). You understand your role in the raid. Meaning that if you have a buff, you use it whenever people die, either singly for individual deaths or raid wide after a wipe. You come with food/flasks/bandages/water and fully repaired gear. You have team speak installed and can listen to raid directions. You don't need to be asked to put down a cookie jar or a food table. You don't need to be asked to use your soul stone. You save your battle res for when the raid leader calls your name and tells you who to res. Your gear is enchanted and gemmed with top level enchants and gems. You are fully glyphed.
8. You know how to have a freakin awesome time, kicking contents @ss and earning achievements doing it.

I know all of that sounds like I'm bringin the hurt mallet and it's way more heavy than most of you are used to. However, my raids are always fair, goal oriented and fun. We want mounts and we are gonna get em! We even want to push on and get ourselves the Astral Walker title by killing us some Algalon! I know most of you have the stuff to do this! Who wants a dragon!?? YEAH!!!

Just making a post in case people don't check their calendars. April 17th is the Saturday set aside to get this thing finished. Time is 8pm server time till we are done. This date is far enough out so you can pen it in on your calendar so I don't have to beat people up when they tell me they can't make it last minute. I love you all very much. Saturday run saw us polish the earlier ones we'd previously skipped, as well as redo some middle ones for those joining us anew (thanks, Yosi!)

Flame Leviathan - Orbituary. This was something pretty cool. I had never been launched onto FL before and there was a bit of learning to do, but we got him second try.
Ignis - Stokin' the Furnace. Already had this one. Kill him dead in a few mins. Easy peasy.
XT-002 - Heartbreaker. Had some trouble on this, even though we'd done it with less people earlier. One of our first troubles with lag.
Iron Council - I choose you, Steelbreaker. This one stopped our raid last time. Pretty tricksy, but our kickass tanks made it work. Well done, Frothing. Lag took a coffee break for one of the attempts on this or I don't think we'd have done it.
Kologarn - Disarmed. We got this last time, but new people didn't because lag screwed up our timing. Next time, Gadget. Next time.
Auriaya - Crazy Cat Lady. Sit still and do your job. We handled this well, even though I never have any idea what's going on. It's pretty blinding as everyone has to stack up. Got it again, anyway.
Hodir - I could say this Cache was Rare. Once again, lag kicked us on this attempt, and it took a couple tries, but we got him. This was also my first attempt after only researching and watching kill videos. Lots to forget and not notice, but it cuts down on the learnign curve if you think, 'right, I saw that happen in that video!' Anyway...
Mimiron: Firefighter. Yes. Yes, this. Honestly, it turned out be less chaotic than I was expecting. Failed on several attempts but with the lag (and my frequent disconnects :S) we were having a tricky time. I think on a lag-free night we'd take this out. Raid got called after our 4th attempt, I think. Few watchers to go, then onward, and iron drakes.

Saturday Part II, April 24...

I showed up late to make sure the baby was in bed and settled, so I missed XT-002 and Flame Levi. We all had these two, so only had to do them normal, so I can only assume it was hellishly difficult with me not there to lend unwaveringly awesome heeps.

Razorscale: Iron Dwarf Medium Rare. We actually did this way better than the first Wednesday we tried this. We managed to get all 25 in something like 5 landings. This may have been due to Perf finally telling us where to put them dwarves to eat the flames.

Kologarn: Disarmed. Got it. Just a matter of making sure the health of his body was lower than last time. Easy peasy. One pissy moment? I got "EYE BEAM ON YOU" and then a half-second later I was in his clenched fist, not knowing if I was killing everyone for not running away from beams right.

Auriaya: Already had the achieve, killed her dead.

Thorim: Lose Your Illusion. One shotted. That's right peeps. I think we were a few seconds away from Sif (fake sif, anyway) running for it, but then Thorim hops down and shit hits the fan. I had no idea what I was doing, where I was pointing or who was doing what to who, but we survived and got this one in the bag.

Freya: Knock Knock Knock on Wood. Holy Crap. I hated this one. So bloody much. Between her new casts, her old casts, the 3 trees' buffs and all her damn adds, there is no WAY in hell to be ready for everything. We followed instructions, ran to the right places (well, I tried to), but sometimes I'd get hit with 3 of the random casts all at once and have no chance to recoup. Anyway. Lots of attempts. I lost count. But we got it.

Mimiron: Firefighter. Le sigh. One first attempt, we got to phase 4. Further attempts yielded same result with more and more damage ticked away from the 3 pieces. We spent so much bloody time on Freya that we ran out of attempt-time here and had to stop. Bomb bots. Bomb bots got me. When his arsing machine gun fire in phase 2 didn't.

All in all: less lag, good times, sneek got made fun of, and more achievements. Should take just one more night! Stay tuned.
